What is homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a system of medicine that stimulates the body to heal itself. Homeopathic medicines come from many sources including animals, minerals and plants, uniquely prepared creating safe and effective homeopathic medicines called remedies.
Homeopathy was developed in 1796 by Dr Samuel Hahnemann, who was a fan of Hippocrates. It was Hippocrates who first postulated on the law of similars, but instead developed the law of opposites, which became conventional medicine as we know it.
Homeopathy is based on the core principle ‘like cures like’, for example, imagine the symptoms you may produce if you drink too much coffee, like; sleeplessness, shaking, mental alertness or suppressed appetite. If you were experiencing these symptoms, for any reason, perhaps stress, the remedy coffea, made from coffee could take those symptoms away.
Homeopathic treatment is individualised according to the symptoms expressed physically, mentally and emotionally in each person.
Homeopathy is safe and effective and can be used to treat a wide range of conditions from pregnancy, childhood diseases, behavioural issues, injuries, eczema, depression, recurring problems and chronic fatigue.
